NATHAN RICHIE is the founder and President of NR Creative Group in Charlotte, North Carolina, an integrated marketing firm that helps companies and individuals expand their growth opportunities using a breadth of advertising, exhibit, branding, and social media strategies.
For more than 20 years, he’s provided effective solutions to a broad range of local, regional and national companies on a project or contract basis. These include both B2B and B2C; manufacturers, service, auto, sports, media, not-for-profit and government organizations.
Richie credits the fast paced radio industry for initially developing his promotions and marketing acumen. Over the course of his broadcasting career, he’s been effective serving in key roles; on-air host, producer, sales, promotions and marketing.
From 2011-2014 he produced and anchored the popular podcast, “The Marketing Squadcast” with a couple of his industry friends. Twice a month, they gathered on-air and take aim at the who’s, the what’s and the why’s of the worlds of social media, marketing, PR, business and sales…and then some. For the past three years, he’s been a regular across the airwaves as a Brand Fanboy providing Audience & Content Development for iHeartMedia and WLKO “1029 The Lake”.
Richie is a well-known speaker for the Social Media explosion; its marketing potential for brands, the level of engagement it allows with audiences and the parallels it shares with the broadcasting industry. He’s the past (2010) President & Chairman for the Charlotte chapter of the Social Media Breakfast and SocialMediaCharlotte.com. Its monthly flagship breakfast event brings social media experts, marketers, PR pros, entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, new-media fanatics, and online social networkers together to eat, meet, share, and learn.
gravitas : relevance : connection
With active roots in radio broadcasting – not one to shy away from a microphone, Richie’s charm and easy presence has made him a popular host, emcee, and spokesperson for events, conferences, training, and businesses like Husqvarna, Freightliner, SearchExchange Internet Conference, BMA Carolinas, American Advertising Federation, and many more.
Stepping from behind the desk on occasion, he’s found traction over the past eight years in the burgeoning web market as an on-camera and on-air talent for those needing compelling content; the maturity to lead an audience with authority, conversation, and the ability to translate technical information into laymen’s terms – teamed with plenty of topical reference and self deprecating humor (if the job requires it).
